A MATTER OF LIFE
Judith (Alissa Jung) is a physician by conviction. She wants to become a cardiologist and completes part of her specialist qualification in the chronically understaffed emergency department of a hospital. During a particularly hard shift, she makes a mistake and a patient dies. Judith is devastated and doubts her suitability for the profession. All her fellow doctors, including partner Mark (Torben Liebrecht), advise her to continue on as before. Whilst the investigation into her actions is ongoing, Judith is transferred to ambulance duty. The new environment and distance from clinical routine allow her to see things in a new light. She begins to see the diseased system for what it is and has to make a decision: go with the flow for the sake of her career or take the bull by the horns and change things?
