Polizeiruf 110 - Fieber
A rampaging junkie (Georg Friedrich) taking hostages in a kinder garden — panic, chaos, insanity. The detective duo Hanns von Meuffels (Matthias Brandt) and Anna Bumhauser (Anna Maria Sturm) valiantly intervene. Shots. Von Meuffels is hit, collapses. Black out. Cardiac arrest. Near death. Reanimation in the clinic…
The encouraging words of a young female doctor (Margarita Breitkreiz) coax von Meuffels back to life: “you’ll soon be back on your feet — everything with be alright!”. But the world suddenly tastes, smells and sounds different. The hospital ward doesn’t seem to be of this world. Patient disappearances and unexpected deaths alarm the detective. Dreams in which the gunned-down hostage-taker appears all too lively seek out the convalescent policeman. Then the young doctor kills herself. Madness reigns in this hospital. Or is it just the feverish delirium in Hanns von Meuffels’ head?
The ghostly duet is one of the most poetic moments of this year’s television calendar! (...) Put off any planned stays in hospital! Do not miss this film!
