SARAH KOHR - DEVIL'S SWAMP
It was intended to be a visit to her father's grave, but on the way, Sarah Kohr passes a petrol station in the throes of being raided. Her attempts to stop the armed perpetrator result in a shoot-out, and Sarah realises too late that her opponent is a 15-year-old teenager. While the boy is fighting for his life in a Hamburg hospital, it turns out that the gun he was carrying originally belonged to the left-wing terrorist group "Revolutionary Cells". The organisation has been on the wanted list since vanishing from the face of the earth 25 years ago. How on earth did such a weapon get into the hands of a child? Sarah's investigations lead her to the boy's hometown of Hohenbeck—a ghostly housing estate surrounded by the so-called Devil's Moor. The inhabitants of this no man's land are a conspiratorial community and punish the investigator who shot one of theirs with cold unapproachability. But it soon becomes clear that there are other reasons behind the inhabitants' silence...
