Zimmer mit Tante
Marie-Luise (Nadia Hilker) is sentenced to community service – care of the elderly - for shoplifting. This is her last chance to avoid custody. Her father (Michael Roll), completely unable to cope, ships her off to her “mad” Aunt Johanna (Jutta Speidel) in the country to complete her sentence. This means: away from her friends and into Johanna’s charming, but stuffy little hotel on the lake. However, after a long stay in a psychiatric clinic, Aunt Johanna hasn’t really found her feet in the real world again yet. Apart from the eccentric professor Franz (Ingo Naujoks), the hotel hasn’t seen any guests in a long time. What initially appears - to both aunt and niece - to be a punishment sent from above, soon turns out to be a blessing for all concerned. No sooner is her armor down and the youthful Maria really livens up Johanna and Franz’s monotonous life. Slowly but surely, life returns to the “joint”; undiscovered talents come to light and new perspectives appear. Und Johanna overcomes her shyness of other people.
A quit comedy with thought-provoking notes.
