In her latest case, things get very personal for the tough investigator:

After an assault by an unknown perpetrator, senior public prosecutor Anton Mehringer is still in a coma after three weeks in a clinic that specialises in coma patients. Sarah Kohr is emotionally distraught and fears that her only confidant may never wake up from his coma. She promises Mehringer's ex-wife Anna that she will do everything she can to find out what happened behind the attack.
